Dear New River Valley Walk to Emmaus Community Member,

Praise God for his blessings, Walks to Emmaus are back after a two-year COVID delay.  The New River Valley (NRV) Walk to Emmaus is holding monthly gatherings, board meetings and walks.

Our first post-COVID walks, Men’s Walk #81, was conducted on April 31 – May 2, 2022 and Women’s Walk #82 on October 27 – 30, 2022.  We are excited to announce plans are underway for the Men’s Walk #83 and Women’s Walk #84 in October 2023.

We have had monthly gatherings at our NRV partner churches and have delighted in God’s grace in bringing us back together.  Gathering information is announced through email, Facebook and website.

Traditionally, two men’s and two women’s walks are conducted each year, but at this time, financially we do not have the funds and resources available to conduct both a women's and men's walk this spring.  COVID restrictions negatively impacted gatherings where we generally receive your generous offerings and donations.  The NRV Emmaus Board of Directors are prayerful that the Emmaus Community will consider a gift of gratitude and agape love to support future walks.

Would you prayerfully consider a donation to the New River Valley Walk to Emmaus to allow our walks to continue?  If so led, a donation can be sent to:

P. O. Box 611
Radford, VA 24143

Thinking of your agape love, would you also consider serving the community during a walk for a few hours, all day, or an entire weekend?  There is such joy in giving unconditional love to the pilgrims.   We need volunteers in every area—carrying luggage, serving meals, preparing and delivering agape, setting up and taking down the camp, preparing snack agape, and not least, praying for the pilgrims.  No matter what your physical capabilities are, come share your fruit of the Spirit during an upcoming walk.  Let us know where you would like to serve.  Go to our new website and volunteer or contact any board member (see the attached contact list).  The site
https://www.nrv-emmaus.org/ is secure and contains walk, gathering, and reunion group information, pilgrim applications and more.

We’re looking forward to seeing you at upcoming gatherings and at the campground!
